၁။ ဘယ်အချက်အလက်တွေ ကောက်ယူလဲ

App သုံးခုလုံး server တစ်ခုတည်းကို သုံးပါတယ်။ ကွာတဲ့အပိုင်းတွေကို 📱 Android reader / 💻 Mac · Windows အဘိဓာန် လို့ တံဆိပ်ကပ် ဖော်ပြထားပါတယ်။

က) အဘိဓာန်မှာ မတွေ့တဲ့ စာလုံးများ (dictionary-miss reports)

အဘိဓာန်မှာ မပါသေးတဲ့ စာလုံးတစ်လုံးကို သင် ရှာကြည့်တဲ့အခါ အဲဒီ စာလုံးတစ်လုံးတည်းကို developer ရဲ့ server (sarphat-api) ဆီ ပို့ပါတယ်။ ရည်ရွယ်ချက်က အဘိဓာန်ထဲ ဘယ်စာလုံးတွေ ဖြည့်သင့်လဲ သိရဖို့ပါ။ အတူပါသွားတာက စက်အမျိုးအစားနဲ့ OS version၊ ပြီးတော့ ဘယ် app ကနေ လာလဲ ဆိုတဲ့ အမည်တစ်ခုပါ —

စာလုံးဝိုင်းရံနေတဲ့ ဝါကျ၊ စာအုပ်နာမည်၊ ဖိုင်လမ်းကြောင်း၊ ဘယ် app ထဲကနေ ရှာလိုက်တာလဲ ဆိုတာတွေကို မပို့ပါ။ သင့်ကို ခွဲခြားသိရှိနိုင်မယ့် ID (device ID, advertising ID, account) လည်း မပါပါ။

ခ) Feedback

App ထဲက 💬 Feedback ခလုတ်နဲ့ သင် စာပို့တဲ့အခါမှသာ — သင်ရေးလိုက်တဲ့ စာသား၊ app version၊ စက်အမျိုးအစားနဲ့ OS version တို့ကို ပို့ပါတယ်။ ဆက်သွယ်ရန် အချက်အလက် (email/ဖုန်း) ကို သင်ကိုယ်တိုင် ထည့်မှသာ ရောက်သွားမှာ ဖြစ်ပြီး မထည့်လည်း ရပါတယ် (💻 Mac/Windows မှာ အဲဒါအတွက် အကွက် သီးသန့် ရှိပါတယ် — ဗလာထားလို့ ရပါတယ်)။

ဂ) ဘာသာပြန် (Translate)

စာသားတစ်ခုကို ဘာသာပြန်ခိုင်းတဲ့အခါ အဲဒီ စာသားကို Google Translate service (translate.googleapis.com) ဆီ ပို့ပါတယ်။ ဒါဟာ Google ရဲ့ service ဖြစ်လို့ Google ရဲ့ privacy policy အောက်မှာ ရှိပါတယ်။ ရလာတဲ့ အဖြေကို နောက်တစ်ခါ မြန်မြန်ပြနိုင်ဖို့ သင့်စက်ထဲမှာပဲ cache လုပ်ထားပါတယ်။ ဘာသာမပြန်ဘဲ ဖတ်ရင် ဘာမှ မပို့ပါ။

ဃ) အသံဖတ်ပြခြင်း (read-aloud)

🔊 ခလုတ်နဲ့ အသံဖတ်ခိုင်းတဲ့အခါ — အွန်လိုင်းအသံ (Andrew / Ava / သီဟ / နီလာ / Niwat / Premwadee) ရွေးထားရင် ဖတ်ခိုင်းလိုက်တဲ့ စာသားကို Microsoft ရဲ့ speech service (speech.platform.bing.com) ဆီ ပို့ပြီး အသံဖိုင် ပြန်ယူပါတယ်။ “စက်ထဲက အသံ” ရွေးထားရင်တော့ စက်ထဲမှာပဲ ဖတ်လို့ ဘာမှ မပို့ပါ။

“ရှာတိုင်း အသံ အလိုအလျောက် ဖတ်ရန်” ကို ဖွင့်ထားပြီး အွန်လိုင်းအသံ သုံးထားရင် — ရှာလိုက်တဲ့ စာလုံးတိုင်း ခလုတ်မနှိပ်ဘဲ အဲဒီ service ဆီ ရောက်သွားမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ မလိုချင်ရင် အဲဒီ setting ကို ပိတ်ထားပါ (မူလက ပိတ်ထားပါတယ်) ဒါမှမဟုတ် စက်ထဲက အသံကို ရွေးပါ။

င) 💻 Mac · Windows — ရွေးထားတဲ့ စာသားကို ဖတ်ခြင်း

အဘိဓာန် app က သင် shortcut နှိပ်လိုက်တဲ့အခါ (သို့) Services ကနေ ခေါ်လိုက်တဲ့အခါမှသာ သင်အသုံးပြုနေတဲ့ app ထဲက ရွေးထားတဲ့ စာသားကို ဖတ်ပါတယ် — macOS မှာ Accessibility API၊ Windows မှာ UI Automation၊ မရရင် clipboard (⌘C / Ctrl+C) နည်းလမ်းနဲ့ပါ။ အဲဒီစာသားက သင့်စက်ထဲမှာပဲ ရှိပါတယ် — အဘိဓာန်မှာ မတွေ့တဲ့ စာလုံးတစ်လုံးကိုသာ (က) အတိုင်း ပို့ပါတယ်။ ဖန်သားပြင်ကို ဓာတ်ပုံရိုက်တာ၊ keystroke မှတ်တာ၊ နောက်ခံမှာ စောင့်ကြည့်တာ လုံးဝ မလုပ်ပါ။

ပြဿနာ ရှာဖွေနိုင်ဖို့ စက်ထဲမှာ log ဖိုင်တစ်ခု ရှိပါတယ် — macOS မှာ ~/Library/Logs/MyanReadDictionary.log၊ Windows မှာ %LOCALAPPDATA%\myanRead Dictionary\lookup.log။ အဲဒီထဲမှာ ဘယ် app ကို မေးလိုက်လဲ၊ ဘယ်နည်းလမ်းနဲ့ ရလဲ၊ ဘယ်လောက်ကြာလဲ ဆိုတာတွေ ရှိပြီး ဘယ်တော့မှ မပို့ပါ။ ဖိုင်ကို ကိုယ်တိုင် ဖျက်လို့ ရပါတယ်။

၂။ ဘယ်အချက်အလက်တွေကို မကောက်ယူဘူးလဲ

၃။ ဘာကြောင့် ကောက်ယူလဲ (legal basis)

အထက်ပါ အချက်အလက်တွေကို app ကို ပိုကောင်းအောင် ပြင်ဖို့ (အဘိဓာန် ဖြည့်ဖို့၊ bug ပြင်ဖို့) သာ သုံးပါတယ်။ ရောင်းချခြင်း၊ ကြော်ငြာအတွက် သုံးခြင်း၊ profile ဖွဲ့ခြင်း လုံးဝ မလုပ်ပါ။ Feedback နဲ့ miss-report ပို့တာက သင့်ဆန္ဒအရ (consent) ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

၄။ ဘယ်နေရာမှာ သိမ်းလဲ / တတိယအဖွဲ့အစည်းများ

ဒီအပြင် ဘယ်သူ့ကိုမှ အချက်အလက် မပေးပါ၊ မရောင်းပါ။ ဥပဒေအရ တောင်းဆိုမှုရှိမှသာ ချွင်းချက်ဖြစ်ပါမယ်။

၅။ ဘယ်လောက်ကြာအောင် သိမ်းထားလဲ

အဘိဓာန်မှာ မတွေ့တဲ့ စာလုံးများကို စာလုံးနဲ့ အရေအတွက်အဖြစ်သာ (ပေါင်းစည်းထားပြီး) သိမ်းထားပါတယ် — တစ်ဦးချင်းကို ပြန်ခွဲခြားလို့ မရပါ။ Feedback တွေကို ဖြေရှင်းပြီးတဲ့အထိ (များသောအားဖြင့် ၁၂ လအတွင်း) သိမ်းပြီး နောက်ပိုင်း ဖျက်ပါတယ်။

၆။ သင့်အခွင့်အရေး — ဖျက်ပေးရန် တောင်းဆိုခြင်း

သင်ပို့ခဲ့တဲ့ feedback ကို ကြည့်ချင်ရင်၊ ပြင်ချင်ရင် ဒါမှမဟုတ် ဖျက်ချင်ရင် app ထဲက 💬 Feedback ခလုတ် ကနေ အကြောင်းကြားပါ။ ပို့ခဲ့တဲ့ ရက်စွဲခန့်မှန်းချက်နဲ့ စာသားအနည်းငယ် ထည့်ပေးရင် ရှာရလွယ်ပါတယ်။ ရက် ၃၀ အတွင်း ဆောင်ရွက်ပေးပါမယ်။

📱 Android — app ကို uninstall လုပ်လိုက်ရင် ဖုန်းထဲက data (စာအုပ်စာရင်း၊ highlight၊ bookmark၊ cache) အားလုံး ပျက်သွားပါတယ်။

💻 Mac · Windows — အဘိဓာန်ရဲ့ working copy၊ ရွေးထားတဲ့ setting များ (macOS မှာ UserDefaults၊ Windows မှာ registry) နဲ့ log ဖိုင်တို့က စက်ထဲမှာ ရှိပါတယ်။ App ကို ဖျက်ပြီးရင် log ဖိုင်ကို ကိုယ်တိုင် ဖျက်လို့ ရပါတယ် — macOS: ~/Library/Logs/MyanReadDictionary.log၊ Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\myanRead Dictionary\။

၇။ ခွင့်ပြုချက် (permissions)

📱 Android reader — INTERNET ခွင့်ပြုချက် တစ်ခုတည်းသာ တောင်းပါတယ် (ဘာသာပြန်၊ အသံ၊ feedback ပို့ရန်)။ စာအုပ်ဖိုင်တွေကို Android ရဲ့ system file picker ကနေ သင်ရွေးပေးမှသာ ဖတ်ပါတယ် — ဖုန်းထဲက ဖိုင်တွေကို အလိုအလျောက် လိုက်ရှာတာ မရှိပါ။

💻 Mac အဘိဓာန် — Accessibility ခွင့်ပြုချက် လိုအပ်ပါတယ်။ တခြား app ထဲက ရွေးထားတဲ့ စာသားကို ဖတ်ဖို့အတွက်သာ သုံးပြီး၊ shortcut နှိပ်လိုက်တဲ့ အခိုက်အတန့်မှသာ ဖတ်ပါတယ်။ ဖိုင်တွေကို ဖတ်ဖို့ ခွင့်ပြုချက် မတောင်းပါဘူး။ ခွင့်ပြုချက်ကို System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility ကနေ အချိန်မရွေး ရုပ်သိမ်းလို့ ရပါတယ်။

💻 Windows အဘိဓာန် — Windows ရဲ့ UI Automation ကို သုံးလို့ ခွင့်ပြုချက် တောင်းစရာ မလိုပါ။ Administrator အဖြစ် run စရာလည်း မလိုပါ။

၈။ ကလေးများ

myanRead ကို ကလေးများအတွက် အထူးရည်ရွယ်ထားတာ မဟုတ်ပါ။ အသက် ၁၃ နှစ်အောက် ကလေးများထံမှ အချက်အလက်ကို သိလျက်နှင့် မကောက်ယူပါ။

၉။ လုံခြုံရေး

Server ဆီ ပို့သမျှ အားလုံးကို HTTPS (TLS) နဲ့ encrypt လုပ်ပြီး ပို့ပါတယ်။ သိမ်းထားတဲ့ အချက်အလက်ကို developer တစ်ဦးတည်းသာ access ရှိပါတယ်။

၁၀။ မူဝါဒ ပြောင်းလဲမှု

ဒီ မူဝါဒကို ပြင်ရင် ဒီစာမျက်နှာမှာပဲ တင်ပြီး အပေါ်က “နောက်ဆုံးပြင်ဆင်သည့်ရက်” ကို ပြောင်းပါမယ်။

In short: myanRead has no user accounts, no ads, and no analytics or tracking SDKs. Your books, highlights, bookmarks and reading positions stay on your device and are never uploaded. The Mac and Windows dictionary reads the selected text only when you press the shortcut, and that text stays on your machine.

1. What we collect

All three apps share one server. Anything that differs between them is labelled 📱 Android reader or 💻 Mac · Windows dictionary.

a) Dictionary-miss reports

When you look up a word that the built-in dictionary has no entry for, the app sends that single word to the developer's server (sarphat-api) so the dictionary can be improved. It travels with your device model and OS version, and a label saying which app it came from —

The surrounding sentence, the book title, the file path and the name of the app you were reading in are not sent, and no identifier (device ID, advertising ID, account) is attached.

b) Feedback

Only when you send a message with the 💬 Feedback button: the message text you wrote, the app version, and your device model / OS version. Contact details reach us only if you choose to add them — the desktop apps have a separate field for that, and it may be left empty.

c) Translation

When you ask for a translation, the selected text is sent to Google Translate (translate.googleapis.com) and is therefore subject to Google's privacy policy. The result is cached on your device only. If you never use translation, nothing is sent.

d) Read-aloud

When you use the 🔊 button with one of the online voices (Andrew, Ava, Thiha, Nilar, Niwat, Premwadee), the text being read is sent to Microsoft's speech service (speech.platform.bing.com), which returns the audio. With the device voice selected, everything happens on your device and nothing is sent.

If you turn on “speak on every lookup” and an online voice is selected, each word you look up reaches that service without you pressing anything. Turn the setting off (it is off by default) or choose the device voice if you would rather it did not.

e) 💻 Mac · Windows — reading the selected text

The dictionary reads the text you have selected in whatever app you are using, and only at the moment you press the shortcut (or invoke it from Services) — through the Accessibility API on macOS, UI Automation on Windows, or a clipboard copy (⌘C / Ctrl+C) when those come back empty. That text stays on your machine; only a single word the dictionary could not find is sent, as described in (a). The app does not capture the screen, record keystrokes, or watch anything in the background.

For troubleshooting there is a log file on your machine — on macOS ~/Library/Logs/MyanReadDictionary.log, on Windows %LOCALAPPDATA%\myanRead Dictionary\lookup.log. It records which app was asked, which path answered and how long it took. It is never uploaded, and you can delete it yourself.

3. Why we collect it

Solely to improve the app: to know which words to add to the dictionary and to fix bugs you report. The data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to build a profile. Sending feedback and miss reports happens as part of using those features and is your choice.

4. Where it is stored / third parties

We do not share or sell data to anyone else, except where required by law.

5. Retention

Missing words are stored only in aggregate (the word and how many times it was reported) and cannot be traced back to an individual. Feedback is kept until the issue is resolved, normally no longer than 12 months, then deleted.

6. Your rights — access and deletion

To see, correct or delete feedback you have sent, use the 💬 Feedback button in the app. Including the approximate date and a few words of the message helps us find it. We will act on the request within 30 days.

📱 Android — uninstalling the app removes all on-device data (library list, highlights, bookmarks, caches).

💻 Mac · Windows — the dictionary's working copy, your settings (UserDefaults on macOS, the registry on Windows) and the log file live on your machine. After uninstalling you can delete the log yourself — macOS: ~/Library/Logs/MyanReadDictionary.log, Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\myanRead Dictionary\.

7. Permissions

📱 Android reader — requests only the INTERNET permission (for translation, speech and feedback). Book files are read only after you pick them yourself through the Android system file picker; the app never scans your storage on its own.

💻 Mac dictionary — requires the Accessibility permission. It is used solely to read the text you have selected in another app, and only at the moment you press the shortcut. No file-access permission is requested. You can revoke it at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.

💻 Windows dictionary — uses Windows UI Automation, so no permission prompt is involved and it does not need to run as Administrator.

8. Children

myanRead is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Security

All traffic to the server uses HTTPS (TLS). Stored data is accessible only to the developer.

Any change is published on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
